First Time Registration - Pharos Secure Print

Important Note:  When the Pharos Print Scout software has been installed you will be prompted to register with Pharos when printing to any printer the first time you print; your job will print to your existing printer after you register.

Your existing printer will not prompt you for a code; the code is entered only at Pharos Secure Printers, once deployed to your area.
  1. On the "Welcome to Pharos Print" screen, select "Login to Continue."

  2. Login using your NCC Password.  *If you are already logged you may not be prompted to log in again. Please see step 3. *

  3. After successfully logging in, you may close the browser window/tab.

  4. The Pharos Print Set up Guide Screen will update to display your Secure Release Passcode



    Note: You will also receive an email with your Secure Release Passcode. Save this email and do not share the passcode with anyone else.
     



  5. Hint: If you forget your passcode, follow this link for instructions on how to reset it. Resetting your Pharos Secure Print Passcode / Registering a Replacement NCC ID Card.
     
  6. Now visit any Pharos Secure Printer to link your NCC ID Card and complete the registration process

 

Linking your NCC ID Card to Pharos

After a Pharos Secure Printer has been deployed to your area, you can link you NCC ID Card using your passcode.  Follow step by step instructions below.

These instructions are for linking you NCC ID card to Pharos for the first time. Linking your ID card is a one-time process.

Hint: If you lose your ID card, follow this link for instructions to reset your passcode. Resetting your Pharos Secure Print Passcode / Registering a Replacement NCC ID Card.

Important: You will need your Passcode that you received when first registering.

  1. Touch your NCC ID card to the Pharos Secure Printer.
    Pharos will recognize this as an unregistered NCC ID Card and prompt you to enter your passcode

  2. Touch the box labeled “Passcode” and use the on-screen keyboard to enter your passcode,then touch “OK.”

  3. Touch “Register” to complete the process. 

 

You can now use your NCC ID Card at any Pharos Secure Printer

This article applies to the Pharos Secure Print environment at Nassau Community College.
