Service Description
The Brightspace Lab/Lecture Course Split Request allows faculty to request a split between lab and lecture components within a course. This split is useful for courses that have distinct lab and lecture components, requiring separate sections for organization and grading purposes.
A lab/lecture course split is beneficial for:
- Clearly delineating between lab and lecture components
- Facilitating separate grading and assessment for each component
- Enabling students to register for the appropriate sections based on their needs
- Providing a more organized structure for course delivery and management
Note: Due to the split course being manually created, it does not process student unenrollment automatically. If a student drops the course, the instructor should notify us so we can remove them from the split course.
